Introduction to Natural Wine - One Day Course
What is natural wine? How does organic farming and biodynamics work? What exactly is an orange wine? What does low intervention mean and what exactly is the role of sulfites and other additives that you can find in wine? In this casual, one day course, Tuscan sommelier Marco Lami will demistify these topics and more, all while you enjoy the setting of a beautiful Tuscan villa and winery. Marco will lead you on a wine tasting of a variety of natural Italian wines and will discuss also native grape varieties.
Who is it for?
This experience is for food and wine enthusiasts, no prior knowledge required but even if you are a seasoned wine lover this is for you too!

A wine tasting of bubbles, white, orange, red and dessert wine

A visit to the biodynamic vineyards and wine cellar of the winery

Where will it be held?
At Cosimo Maria Masini winery in San Miniato (between Florence and Pisa), in Tuscany. There is a train station at San Miniato with trains running between Florence and Pisa and we can pick you up from the station.

About your host:
Marco Lami is Tuscan born and raised. After an undergraduate degree in psychology, Marco gained his sommelier qualifications first in Tuscany (AIS) and then via London (WSET) and has over a decade experience as a sommelier. He has worked with the best chefs in Australia (Neil Perry, Andrew McConnell, George Calombaris) and Italy (Vito Mollica at the Four Seasons) and is now the head sommelier at the iconic Cibreo restaurant in Florence.
